Endometriomas (Chocolate Cysts)

Endometriomas are cysts filled with old blood that forms when endometrial tissue grows on the ovaries. They are called 'chocolate cysts' because of their dark, thick, tar-like appearance. These are associated with endometriosis.

Symptoms
