Hormonal Changes

Increased discharge around ovulation, pregnancy, or with contraceptives

Understanding Hormonal Discharge

Changes in vaginal discharge due to hormonal fluctuations are usually normal and not a cause for concern. The female reproductive system responds to estrogen and progesterone levels throughout the menstrual cycle.

When It's Normal

  • • Around ovulation (mid-cycle)
  • • During pregnancy
  • • When using hormonal contraceptives
  • • Just before menstruation
  • • Clear to white, thin, no odor

When to Consult a Doctor

If discharge becomes yellow/green, has a strong odor, causes itching or burning, or is significantly heavier than usual, it's important to get checked for possible infection or other conditions.

Book Consultation

If you're unsure whether your discharge is normal, it's always best to consult a specialist for peace of mind.
