About Free T4 & T3 Test
Free T4 (thyroxine) and Free T3 (triiodothyronine) tests measure active thyroid hormone levels in your blood. Performed by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Thakur at GyneNepal, these tests provide detailed assessment of thyroid function beyond TSH screening. Free T4 is the main hormone produced by the thyroid gland, while T3 is the more active form. These tests help diagnose hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and monitor treatment effectiveness. Essential for patients on thyroid medication, pregnant women, and those with pituitary disorders. Dr. Sanjay's expertise from CMC Vellore and Royal Marsden Hospital ensures accurate interpretation. Combined with TSH, these tests provide complete thyroid function assessment. Same-day results available.
