About TSH Test (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone)

How to Prepare

The Procedure
A trained phlebotomist collects blood from a vein in your arm. The area is cleaned with antiseptic. A tourniquet is applied. A small needle is inserted to draw 3-5ml of blood. The sample is sent to our accredited laboratory for analysis using chemiluminescence immunoassay.
Understanding Your Results
Results available same day (within 4-6 hours). Normal TSH: 0.4-4.0 mIU/L. High TSH (>4.0) indicates hypothyroidism. Low TSH (<0.4) indicates hyperthyroidism. Dr. Sanjay provides detailed interpretation and treatment plan.
