What is an MRI Scan?

When is MRI Recommended?

Cysts with septations, solid components, papillary projections, or irregular walls on ultrasound.
Indeterminate Ultrasound Findings
When ultrasound cannot clearly characterize the cyst or distinguish between cyst types.
Pre-surgical Planning
Provides detailed anatomy to guide surgical approach, especially for large or complex cysts.
High-Risk Patients

How to Prepare for an MRI
- • No special preparation required in most cases

- • Wear comfortable clothing without metal zippers or buttons
