Precancerous Cervical Cell Treatment in Kathmandu
Treat Abnormal Cells Before They Become Cancer
What Are Precancerous Cervical Cells?
Precancerous cervical cells (also called cervical dysplasia or CIN — Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia) are abnormal cell changes in the cervix that, if left untreated, could develop into cervical cancer over many years. These changes are caused by persistent high-risk HPV infection and are detected through Pap smear screening.
Grades of Cervical Dysplasia
CIN 1 (Mild Dysplasia)
Low-grade changes. Often resolves on its own without treatment. Regular monitoring recommended.
CIN 2 (Moderate Dysplasia)
Moderate changes. Treatment is usually recommended to prevent progression.
CIN 3 (Severe Dysplasia / CIS)
High-grade changes. Treatment is essential to prevent cancer. Not yet cancer but requires prompt treatment.
Treatment Options

A thin wire loop with electric current removes abnormal tissue from the cervix.

Cone Biopsy (Conization)
A cone-shaped piece of tissue is surgically removed from the cervix.
